Webster Progressive Funeral Home
Webster Progressive Funeral Home
In 1993, with a flourishing casket sales business to funeral homes in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi, Daniel and Sarah, with their two sons, decided to open a funeral home.
Since, by Alabama law, the wholesale casket distributorship was prohibited from selling merchandise directly to the public, this was their only means of realizing the dream of providing low-cost, high-quality funerals and merchandise to families in their greatest time of need.
So, on May 17th of that year, the Alabama Board of Funeral Service approved the Webster-Progressive Funeral Home as a full-service funeral home.
Sarah assumed the responsibility of managing the funeral home with son, Gregory, serving as Managing Funeral Director. Daniel, with Daniel, Jr., assumed management of the Webster Casket and Funeral Supply Company. Thus began the long tradition of offering high quality merchandise and superior service while keeping costs down to a level that families could afford.
A funeral is a unique purchase. It involves financial and emotional issues. Families frequently arrange a funeral at an extremely emotional time and want to provide the best for the loved one who has passed on.
At this time, they must turn to a funeral director for guidance and advice without fear of being taken advantage of.
Most funeral directors are responsible, but price gouging is certainly no stranger to the funeral industry. One way to avoid making detrimental decisions under the influence of deep emotional pain is to pre-plan a funeral.
